What is the fund?
The OMEP UK Committee set up the Children’s Fund in 1990 to support projects which directly benefit children in the United Kingdom and overseas. Since then, over £7,000 has been raised in donations and distributed to projects in this country, Europe, Africa and Asia.
Through the Children’s Fund OMEP provides financial support to small projects in
Britain and abroad which are aimed at providing better opportunities for children
and their families. In recent years this has included items like play equipment,
building materials, crèche provision in situations as varied as India, South Africa, the
Philippines and for UK families visiting prisoners.
